1. PURPOSE
This Returns & Refund Policy outlines the rights, obligations, and procedures for returning products purchased from Apple World and receiving refunds, in full compliance with South African consumer law and enterprise standards.
This policy applies to:
- Direct purchases from www.appleworld.co.za
- Orders fulfilled through Avo and Takealot
- Products covered under Apple World Care+ or distributor warranties
2. DEFINITIONS
- “Customer” – Any individual or entity purchasing Apple World products or services.
- “Products” – All items sold by Apple World, including Apple devices, Beats, Bang & Olufsen, accessories, and SIM promotions.
- “Third-Party Providers” – Marketplace, courier, or finance providers whose services may affect returns (e.g., Float, Bob Go, Avo, Takealot).
3. CUSTOMER RIGHTS
3.1 Consumer Protection Act (CPA) Compliance

Customers retain all statutory rights under the CPA, including the right to:
- Receive goods that are of good quality, in good working order, and fit for purpose

Return defective or misrepresented products
3.2 Return Period
- Products may be returned within 7 calendar days of delivery for online orders (unless otherwise stated under CPA or third-party terms).
- For faulty products or warranty claims, the period is determined by the manufacturer/distributor warranty or Apple World Care+ coverage.
4. ELIGIBLE RETURNS
4.1 Returns are accepted for:
- Faulty or defective products
- Incorrect items delivered
- Products not matching description or specifications
4.2 Returns are not accepted for:
- Products damaged due to misuse or accidental damage (unless covered under Apple World Care+ Accidental Option)
- Opened consumables or sealed accessories if the seal is broken
- Custom orders or pre-order cancellations after dispatch
5. RETURN PROCEDURE
5.1 Contact Apple World Support:

5.2 Provide:
- Order number
- Reason for return
- Product serial number or IMEI (if applicable)
- Supporting evidence (photos, videos, or documentation)
5.3 Apple World will issue a Return Authorisation (RA) within 3 business days.
5.4 Customers must return products securely in original packaging. Courier fees may apply unless the return is due to Apple World error or defect.
5.5 Third-party services affecting returns (marketplace, courier, finance) must follow both Apple World procedures and their own policies.
6. REFUND PROCESS
6.1 Refunds are processed within 14 business days after Apple World receives and inspects the returned product.
6.2 Refunds are issued to the original payment method:
- Direct EFT or Card: Processed via Bob Pay
- Float / BNPL Installment: Adjustment according to financing terms
6.3 Apple World is not responsible for delays in third-party refund processing.
7. WARRANTY & CARE+ RETURNS
7.1 Products under manufacturer warranty or distributor warranty (ASBIS Africa) are processed in accordance with those terms.
7.2 Apple World Care+ returns (including accidental damage) are processed per Care+ Policy, subject to coverage and service fees.
8. THIRD-PARTY & MARKETPLACE RETURNS
8.1 Orders fulfilled via Avo or Takealot must comply with both Apple World policy and the marketplace platform’s return procedures.
8.2 Use of third-party logistics providers (e.g., Bob Go) is subject to their delivery verification and tracking policies.
8.3 By completing a purchase through third-party channels, customers agree to those providers’ Terms & Conditions and Apple World’s limited liability for service delivery.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Apple World is not liable for:
- Damages during transit caused by courier partners (unless insurance was purchased and activated)
- Loss of product value caused by customer misuse
- Third-party platform errors affecting return initiation or processing
Apple World’s liability is limited to:
- Replacement, repair, or refund of products directly supplied by Apple World
- Value-added services under Apple World Care+
10. FRAUD PREVENTION
Apple World reserves the right to:
- Verify identity before accepting returns
- Refuse returns that appear fraudulent or in violation of this policy
- Cancel suspicious refund requests
